Project: Renovation and restoration of San Francisco City Hall
Client: Turner Construction/ San Francisco Bureau of Architecture
Responsibilities:
Margen + Associates worked with the project design team and general contractor to integrate accessibility into the $290 million design/build renovation of this very high profile historical building.
The project integrated many state of the art accessibility technologies like talking signs that provide accessibility and orientation information to blind individuals, adjustable height lecterns and accessible systems furniture for employee areas.
The project demonstrates the high degree of access that can be achieved in a historical building.
